First Impressions of Netflix’s Iron Fist… (NON SPOILER REVIEW)

The excitement for Marvel’s Iron Fist has been surreal… This is the 4th part to Marvel’s collected series for the upcoming super hero mash-up show The Defenders. Out of all the Marvel’s Netflix shows Iron Fist is the character I knew the least about. So I was very excited to experience a brand new super hero, and learn everything about him through the new Netflix original… Let’s get to the impression!

I have made it half way through the season so far, and I am very surprised the reviews are as bad as they were.  On Rotten Tomatoes the show was given a dishonorable 15%. Shows like Daredevil (98%), Luke Cage (96%), and Jessica Jones (93%), have all had great critic success. Iron Fist did not see the same love. The first few episodes had a very slow pace to them. I will say that, but it made sense. We had to learn about the character, and why he is what he is. Around episode 4 is where the action begins to pick up, there are a lot of fighting scenes from episodes 4-7. If you can get past the slow start of the show it will be a very enjoyable time. Iron Fist has a very Arrowesk atmosphere with lost boy/turned billionaire/turned incredible fighter.

Other than the action sequences there is also a very good emotional connection between the characters. You can truly tell they care for one another, and they will do whatever they can to help each other succeed. I would definitely recommend any comic book/super hero fans to give this show a shot.

I will give a full spoiler review of the show once I have finished the show! Make sure to check in at all The Nerd Chambers social media outlets: Twitter/Facebook/Instagram! Go tweet us and let us know what you think of Iron Fist!
