The trailer has finally hit the public, and it has made a boom! In less than an hour the trailer had already totaled over 138K views, and is sitting at a solid 16K likes. Not only did the trailer bring some excitement for combat and adventure… It also brought a sense of humor. The trailer has two characters explaining why we need to join together and help the cause for Destiny 2.
One commander takes a very serious approach explaining the sad defeated warriors, and why they need to take back their home. The commander does a very good job at getting the troops excited for the vengeful crusade. So they are ready to take on the Red Legion and take on Ghaul…
On the other hand… We see the same fun loving drunken guardian from the teaser trailer Cayde giving a not as heroic speech. He goes on to explain that we need everyone, but you might die in the adventure. He then can’t remember the name of the evil villain’s name… “Starts with a g? Gary?! No…” No one seems to be buying his speech, and he changes the reasoning to loot. That everyone should get all the loot they possibly can, and this hypes up the guardians!
Bungie did a very good job in the trailer explaining why you’ll be starting over in the sequel. The fact that Ghaul and his legion came through and destroyed the tower with all of your loot inside. You’ll have to begin a new story in a new part of the world. Hopefully Destiny 2 will have more sustained success then it’s first game had. All together the first game did well it just didn’t hold all of its gamers from the start.
