Amazon announced to fans that the long awaited MMO New World has been delayed once again. In a development update, it was explained that there are more additions they want to make before the game is fully released. The game is now slated to release August 31st of this year. They also gave us more details about the current alpha and future closed beta.
The current closed alpha will be continuing and it is undetermined when it will be done. They announced the closed beta, which will be available to everyone that pre-orders the game, will be coming on July 20th. This will also be the day that the NDA gets lifted from the game and content creators will be able to share content in any form regarding the game.
The last piece to the update explained new features and a dedication to improving the endgame content in New World prior to launch. They have added 5-man expeditions to the game which are instanced based events that a new way to experience PvE in New World. They also added a new 20 vs 20 PvP mode called Outpost Rush. In the new experience players will fight to control territories to get valuable resources for their teams.
