Nintendo Direct E3 Recap

The final showcase from the major developers at E3 this year came and when this afternoon with Nintendo’s E3 Direct. The Direct was loaded with well over twenty games in just about forty minutes so there is a lot for Switch fans to be excited about in the coming months.

Mario Party Superstars

The first exciting trailer we saw for Nintendo fans is Mario Party Superstars. The game has five different playable boards from installments on the N64 and gives you the ability to play against friends or random opponents online. With over 100 different games there is going to be a lot to enjoy when the game drops October 29th.

Metroid 5 Dread

The biggest surprise from the conference was the announcement of the fifth installment in the original Metroid series, Metroid Dread. Samus is back to her 2D platforming action, in the new trailer with a terrifying new enemy. The best part of this unexpected reveal is that the game is already going to arrive on the Switch October 8th.

Kazuya Coming to Smash Ultimate

The newest character coming to the Smash Ultimate roster is the first in the Smash x Tekken crossover. Kazuya now joins the ever-expanding roster with a lengthy trailer that goes over each of his abilities. Unfortunately there was no hard release date for his addition but they will be doing a deep dive into the character June 28th.

Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2

The show wrapped up with the most anticipated game in Nintendo’s pocket right now, Breath of the Wild 2. The new trailer showed off some changes to the land of Hyrule as well as some interesting new powers that Link seems to have. The encouraging news is that they revealed a 2022 launch window for the game so it won’t be long before we return to Link’s quest.
