What does that mean? Well, if the tweet below from @PlaystationSize is accurate, we may get an alpha test for the highly anticipated Dragon Age 4 next month. The Twitter account typically drops news and leaks about games being added to the Playstation Store. They claim to have found a file that seems to be an alpha test for Dragon Age 4 and is going to be released before EA’s digital event – which takes place on July 22nd.
There has been rumors that the initial development of Dragon Age was gearing the game up to be a game with social elements similar to Anthem and Destiny. After the problems with Anthem post launch, they decided to switch their emphasis to the franchises usual singleplayer narrative experience. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if the alpha ends up being a test of the multiplayer experience of the game. This is pure uninformed speculation but it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they implemented a multiplayer dungeon system like what they had in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
