Today was a very lucky day for the shaeholders at Disney. The footage was a very minimal look at the upcoming film, but it did bring excitement for the shareholders at Disney! As we mentioned last week at The Nerd Chambers, the Star Wars Celebration is coming up very shortly. That being said we will most likely get our first public look at Star Wars Episode VII The Last Jedi during the celebration.

There was a little insight posted on IGN by Alex Gilyadov about what happened during the shareholders event for Episode VII…
“Disney held its annual shareholders meeting in Denver where it showed off footage from The Last Jedi, previewing what happens immediately after the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. According to Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller, the new clips shows Rey handing Luke his lightsaber while he asks Rey, “Who are you?”
Other characters also appeared in the screened footage, including Chewbacca, Finn, and General Leia, but Miller did not offer specific context for how they appear. Miller also said the footage jumped to a number of settings, from oceans to forests, deserts, and mountain ranges.”
