Now that the NES Classic is done being produced, it seems Nintendo has jumped right back on the wagon with their next classic system remake. Sources confirmed to Eurogamer that Nintendo is indeed working on a Super Nintendo Entertainment system similar to that of the NES Classic. Not only is it in production but it is expected to be ready for release this holiday season. I wouldn’t expect the SNES to be around forever though as Nintendo explained when they announced the discontinuation of the NES Classic that the classic system was meant to be a novelty item for the holidays last year. Nonetheless, you should all start getting hyped for the SNES Classic because the game library on the system was superior to that of the NES with games like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and A Link to the Past.
We will be sure to keep you guys updated when we learn more about the system and a release window. For now, let us know, what SNES games would you want to see on the classic? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @TheNerdChambers.
